Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer was impressed by what he saw from Eddie Howe's "organised" side after the Magpies picked up a point away from home against Manchester United - and hinted that the Magpies' perhaps should be winning at places like that'.
Heading into the contest, Newcastle had not won at Old Trafford since 2013, when Yohan Cabaye's goal saw Alan Pardew's side claim a famous win 1-0 away win. This time around however, the two sides played out a 0-0 draw in a performance that saw Newcastle defending resolutely throughout the second half.

Given how the second half panned out, Howe and co will have been delighted with a point and a clean sheet on the road. The result means Newcastle remain in sixth place in the Premier League having only lost once this season.
The Magpies look vastly different to where they were just a year ago. There is a dogged spirit within Howe's Newcastle which was missing under former boss Steve Bruce. And it was a performance that left Toon legend Shearer pleased after years of disappointment at Old Trafford.
Shearer tweeted: "A really organised performance from the Toon. Had the chances to win, perhaps should be winning at places like that nowadays!!!"
