Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has shown he's still got it after posting a video of him playing crossbar challenge out in Qatar. Shearer is currently working alongside the BBC Sport team doing punditry and co-commentary at the World Cup.
With the tournament having had it's first two or so days to take a breather after a chaotic group stage and last-16, Shearer was videoed having a kick about on a mini six-a-side pitch with his son and a couple of others. Barefoot, Shearer stepped up from the opposite penalty area and struck a perfect effort that hit the middle of the crossbar.
In his following tweet, Shearer claimed that it was his first attempt and even brought out his legendary celebration that the St. James' faithful witnessed so many times. He wrote: "Cross bar challenge they said!! Take 1 @willshearer9, @zacthompson1999, @craigwatson987."

And let's be honest, who are we to disagree with that claim based on his record in the black and white of the Magpies. Shearer is the Premier League's all time leading goal scorer with 260 and found the net 356 times in all competitions at club level, 206 of which came at Newcastle.
The 52-year-old is also among England's most prolific ever marksmen having netted 30 goals in his 63 caps. He certainly hasn't lost it.
