Newcastle becoming impatient with Ekitike ordeal
Reports are suggesting that those at the top at Newcastle United are growing increasingly impatient with the pace, or lack of it, regarding the deal to bring the highly-rated young Frenchman, Hugo Ekitike to St. James' Park. Ekitike was a target for Newcastle in January, but could not reach an agreement with Reims to complete the move.
Now in the summer window, United have agreed more of the details, but the deal is stalling over bonuses and other financial stumbling blocks. With progress being so slow, some are reporting that Newcastle may walk away from the deal and seek alternative options should things not change soon.
Magpies considering spending big on Victor Osmihen
The Italian media are reporting that Newcastle may be willing to offer significant money to Napoli to lure Osmihen to England. The Italian giants are said to value their striker at £86 million, having scored 18 goals last season.
Tottenham are also reportedly interested, which would offer Osmihen the guarantee of both Premier League and Champions League football. This may be enough to help Spurs win the race for the forward.
