"I think we are looking at players, not necessarily one area of the team," Howe said in the aftermath of Newcastle's 3-0 win over 1860 Munich on Friday afternoon.

Amanda Staveley reveals "global" dream for Newcastle United
Amanda Staveley has revealed she wants help Newcastle United become a "global business".
The Newcastle co-owner, who played an instrumental role in last Autumn's takeover, was speaking during a recent CSM panel discussion where she outlined her intentions for the club.
"We want to grow Newcastle into a global business," Staveley said.
"That's going to take an awful lot of patience. Taking the club over, it was the most extraordinary season. I don't know if there are any Newcastle fans here but we were 20th.
"We were backed to be relegated so our priority wasn't thinking, 'Global stage!' It was just, 'Not be relegated'. Everything became very much closed in and it is only suddenly now we're looking we're safe, we're 11th.
"We want to see Newcastle make sure it can become a global brand but, to become a global brand, we've got to tell our story and attract new fans."

Gayle did not travel to Austria for Newcastle's two friendlies, instead remaining on Tyneside with his future still up in the air.
There has been interest in Gayle, but it would appear his wages are a sticking point for a number of Championship teams.
And Macdonald believes Championship clubs should all be trying to sign Gayle, who he called "gold at that level.
