Newcastle United fans have overwhelmingly backed a January move for Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard.
The Manchester Evening News reports the Magpies are working on a loan deal for the England international, with his contract at Old Trafford due to expire in the summer.
Newcastle have repeatedly been linked with a move for Lingard over the last calendar year, although the report indicates the 29-year-old would still prefer a second spell at West Ham over a switch to St James' Park.

Tottenham have also been linked with a move on a permanent basis in the summer, but the Red Devils are understood to be reluctant to strengthen a top-four rival.
Lingard has not been included in Ralf Ragnick's matchday squad for Wednesday's encounter at Brentford due to an ankle injury.
Defenders are understandably the priority on Tyneside, with Eddie Howe's side only recording one clean sheet so far this season.

However, that has not stopped Magpies supporters backing a temporary move for Lingard to bolster the side in the bid for survival.
Here is how Newcastle United fans reacted to the latest report on a possible move for Lingard.
Mark Fleming: "Get him in asap. Regarding the reports linking him with WHUFC. If Jesse wanted to sign for them then it would have happened long before now. So come on Jesse lad, come to the Toon."
Craig Hardy: "Would be a great signing but doubtful he'd come to us."
Jay Peters: "Absolutely. Plenty of talent there and knows the league. Don’t make him commit to next season and it’s in his interest to play well and make himself a free transfer worth the big wages."
Rob Williams: "I would love it but he will probably go to West Ham. Nobody wants to risk their careers joining us at the moment."
'Absolute no brainer'
'Got to be yes'
'Walks into our team'
'Would save our season'
