Newcastle United have been rocked by a fresh injury to Anthony Gordon with Eddie Howe expecting to lose the £45million man Anthony Gordon for "a few weeks".
Gordon was not named in the squad for the clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers after starting in the 2-0 defeat at Man City. Howe revealed before the game that he had picked up an injury in training.
Howe said: "We've had quite a lot to digest this week, we have had a couple of injuries. Anthony Gordon we lose for a few weeks.

"I am not 100% sure how serious that is for us. "But a short-term blow for sure."
Howe was not able to name Joelinton in his starting line-up due to a two game ban. But he stated the five changes to his side today were made to get the team "back on track".
Another huge call saw Miguel Almiron dropped for Jacob Murphy whole Callum Wilson also paid the price for poor recent displays with Alexander Isak taking his place. Gordon's injury saw Allan Saint-Maximin play ahead of him.
Howe said: "We need to get going again. "We've got players of coming up with those individual moments."
