Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sign Matt Targett until the end of the season on loan - and the Magpies may also look to tie him down permanently.
The 26-year-old has been a long-term target of Newcastle but arrives after falling down the pecking order at Aston Villa.
Targett is currently at the training ground undergoing the formalities of his loan move from the second city club.
