Now, the i News claim Maddison is 'interested' in a move to St James' Park with the Foxes prepared to cash-in rather than allowing him to leave as a free agent in the summer of 2024. The 26-year-old is said to have discussed the prospect of a transfer while on international duty with Kieran Trippier.
The report also outlines how Kieran Tierney is also 'near the top' of the Magpies' shortlist now Champions League football has been secured next term. Newcastle are said to be keen on signing a full-back on both flanks, as well as two midfielders and a winger.
