Big names Ronan Keating and Tom Grennan will be performing on Newcastle's two biggest racing days of the year, it has been announced, and tickets are expected to sell out fast.
First Grennan will be providing the post-racing entertainment at Newcastle Racecourse on Plate Day on July 1, with tickets due to go on general sale at 10am this Friday, February 3 (following a pre-sale to O2 priority customers on Wednesday, February 1, also at 10am). Then Irish star Keating will get the Ladies Day crowds going on July 29.
The Live After Racing events at Gosforth Park are set to be hugely popular, with Plate Day and Ladies Day already being huge crowd-pullers in the city. Singer-songwriter Grennan - whose upcoming new album What Ifs & Maybe and new UK tour will launch in March - is currently enjoying a roll of success.

The chart-topping BRIT and Ivor Novello-nominated talent said: I'm in a new creative space and I know I'm finally the artist I want to be. I'm so buzzing for these shows, my biggest gigs to date. I can't wait to get out and play these new songs to everyone."
North East fans no doubt will get a taste of that new work in July from Grennan whose CV already includes four UK Top 10 singles, with two of his platinum-selling anthems - Little Bit Of Love and By Your Side - from album Evering Road scoring in the Top Three most-played songs of the year.
Meanwhile Keating too continues to keep things interesting for his legions of fans who have stuck by his side since the early days. The youngster who shot to fame on joining new boyband Boyzone in 1993 and later became a solo star, has added to his 30-year singer-songwriter career with success as a TV presenter - including on The One Show - and as an actor.
Since being part of one the biggest pop bands ever - whose first reunion in 2008 after nearly a decade apart proved Boyzone still had what it takes, and who dedicated later success to their 'Brother' Stephen Gately following their bandmate's sudden death in 2009 - Keating has stayed in the spotlight, even after the band finally signed off in style the year after their 25-year anniversary in 2018.
Following more number one singles and studio albums, came Keating's Twenty Twenty which celebrated his own 20th year as a solo artist - and fans just can't get enough.
