Reims striker Hugo Ekitike's proposed move to St James' Park has hit the rocks amid reports his agents demands are holding up the deal.
While Newcastle United were understood to have agreed to terms with Reims for the Ligue 1 forward, Ekitike's agent Karl Buchmann is said to be asking for a fee the Magpies are unwilling to pay.
Ekitike is someone Newcastle have been targeting since January. They tried to sign the French striker in winter transfer window only for Ekitike to opt to stay with Reims.

Recently, the 20-year-old took to social media, posting an Instagram story alongside his agent Buchmann. The photo shows the two sharing a joke with Ekitike adding the caption "NJOY".
Alongside Sven Botman, Ekitike is one of Newcastle's primary transfer targets this summer.
And Newcastle supporters have taken to social media to give their reaction to the striker and agents post.
