A Newcastle city centre bar that’s a hot favourite among uni students has launched a luxurious new cocktail menu - just in time for Freshers Week.
Open from 8pm until 2am every Monday to Saturday, Mimo offers a ‘world-famous’ trebles deal as well as signature rum-based cocktails, and is also the ‘spiritual home of beer pong’ and plays host to live DJs. It may have been a well-known spot for Newcastle revellers since it first opened in 2011, but for students new to the area the Pudding Chare attic bar is a real hidden gem.
Short for Miami Moment, the Tiki-style bar is inspired by the beaches of Miami and claims itself as Newcastle’s favourite trebles bar. A popular destination for student pre-drinks, Mimo has a hidden-away outdoor terrace ideal for the warmer months - but it was originally designed with the chilly North East weather in mind.
