Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes sends message to two Arsenal players after Liverpool draw

Arsenal were involved in one of the Premier League's games of the season on Sunday when they were held to a 2-2 draw with Liverpool. The draw means the Gunners are now six points clear of Manchester City with eight games remaining.

First-half goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus put Mikel Arteta's side into a two-goal lead. However, the league leaders squandered their advantage and were forced to take only a point back to the Emirates Stadium.

Aaron Ramsdale was the hero on the day with two world-class saves in injury-time to keep Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate out. The draw ticks off another fixture in their title run-in with Man City, with the race expected to go down to the wire.

After the game, Brazilian duo Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes took to Instagram to post their thoughts on the draw at Anfield. Defender Magalhaes wrote: "We stick together and let's go again!! thank you for your support GUNNERS!!"

Martinelli vented his frustration at the Gunners' failure to hold on to the victory. He posted: "Gutted we didn’t get all 3 points. Anfield isn’t an easy place to go to but we’ve got 8 games to put it right."

Newcastle United midfielder and former Arsenal transfer target Bruno Guimaraes was on hand to reply to both his compatriots on the social media platform. In reply to Gabriel's message, Guimaraes posted two red love hearts while commenting 'ace' on Martinelli's picture.

Guimaraes was linked with a move to the Gunners in January 2022 after impressing with Lyon in France. He eventually joined Newcastle after the Magpies were able to afford to sign the Brazilian at the time.
