Newcastle United are searching for an 'experienced' executive addition to support the recent appointments of Dan Ashworth and Darren Eales. Co-owner Amanda Staveley insists improvements 'across the board' are the club's target this season, and the recruitment drive behind the scenes shows no signs of slowing anytime soon.
Former FA technical director Ashworth finally took the post of sporting director with the Magpies in June, following a protracted exit from Premier League rivals in Brighton. The 51-year-old sporting director was in place for the summer transfer window, and will work closely with head coach Eddie Howe, academy manager Steve Harper and head of recruitment Steve Nickson.
Ashworth was soon followed through the door by Eales, who was named Newcastle's new chief executive officer the following month. Eales had worked with MLS franchise Atlanta United since their inception in 2014, and officially started work on Tyneside last month.

Now, the club are in the market for an executive assistant to work closely with both Ashworth and Eales. The successful candidate will be expected to help 'deliver' on the club's ambitious plans, and will be tasked with handling diary management and communications both internally and externally.
He or she will also need to work alongside other 'very senior stakeholders', while also helping Ashworth and Eales in preparations for presentations. The closing date for applications for the role is listed as September 29.
The latest job posting comes shortly after the Magpies advertised for a bi-lingual manual therapist, with the club looking for a qualified practitioner to help 'optimise the performance of the playing squad'. Eddie Howe highlighted the need for United to find the 'best staff' earlier this year, insisting the players need 'every tool' to deliver their best on a consistent basis.
