Newcastle's Sushi Me Rollin' to feature live on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway tonight

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will be broadcasting live from the Geordie duo's hometown tonight.

In recent weeks the ITV show has been showcasing food outlets up and down the country with some of the best puns in their name. Viewers were delighted earlier this month when Neighbours star Jason Donovan made a surprise appearance at legendary Bristolian kebab van Jason Donervan for the very first time - and now it's the term of Newcastle sushi bar Sushi Me Rollin'.

The restaurant has revealed via social media that it will be closed today due to a live broadcast from presenter Andi Peters - and encouraged fans of the show to head down to Grey Street and join in the fun.

A post on social media on Friday read: "Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know Grey Street is CLOSED! This is because we’ve been asked to appear on Saturday Night Takeaway!

"The Whitley Bay store will be open as usual.

"If you wanna come down and be in the outside crowd feel free to join around 19:00. 20,000 people on Grey Street could be a bad idea but here we are!

"Keep on Rollin'!"

Founder Kurt Toulson will be on hand to "showcase the superb sushi gaff" along with members of staff.

The show will return to ITV screens tonight at 7pm, after it was dropped last week to make way for live coverage of the Six Nations rugby.
