Newcastle make St James' Park upgrade as another six Premier League games rescheduled in April

Newcastle United have had six Premier League games rescheduled in April, with five selected for television coverage. All of the Magpies' February outings were broadcast in the UK and another three will be shown in March.

April is another jam-packed month of top flight action for Eddie Howe's men, with another quintet of matches being picked by British TV companies. Firstly Newcastle will welcome Manchester United to St James' Park on April 1, with the game being moved to Sunday, 2nd April at 4:30pm to be shown on Sky Sports' Super Sunday.

United's visit to the capital to face West Ham - which was initially postponed following the Queen's passing in September - will now take place on Sky Sports on Wednesday, 5th April at 8pm.

The clash with Aston Villa at Villa Park has been brought forward a couple of hours on Saturday, 15th April, and will be shown live on BT Sport in the 12.30pm slot.

Sunday, 23rd April sees Newcastle face Tottenham at 2pm, instead of 3pm the previous day. That game is subject to change depending on Manchester United's Europa League qualification.

The game at Everton will now take place on Thursday, 27th April, with kick-off set for 7:45pm, two days before it was initially pencilled in for. And Newcastle's home game against Southampton has been moved from Saturday, 29th April at 3pm to Sunday, 30th April at 2pm. It will not be shown on TV however.

Newcastle are becoming accustomed to their top flight games being shown on TV and have taken the necessary steps with the addition of a new state of the art 'spider cam' installed at St James' Park.

The high-tech piece of technology was used on Tyneside for the first time on Saturday as Sky Sports covered Newcastle vs Liverpool. The camera, which travels in all directions above the field of play, has become a mainstay in Premier League and Champions League games in recent years and offers a detailed birds eye view of proceedings during TV replays.
