It's Ladies Day in Newcastle on Saturday and once the final bets have been placed and last horse has finished up at the Racecourse, there's plenty of partying to be done in and around town.
As well as being a bi day for horse owners, jockeys and trainers, Ladies Day is one of, if not the biggest, event in Newcastle's social calendar as Geordie lads and lasses and visitors to the city dress to impress as they head to Newcastle Racecourse. Large crowds are expected on the outskirts of Gosforth for this year's event,. After it's been hampered by the Covid pandemic over the last few years.
There will be plenty of food and drink offerings to take advantage of at the Racecourse, with many people bracing themselves for an early start on the bevs and handily there will be Shuttle Buses to take revellers into town where the festivities will continue.
