Robinson interest
Newcastle United still hold an interest in Fulham star Antonee Robinson as the club's search for a new left-back continues. The Magpies are keen to strengthen in the full-back department despite Dan Burn's fine season as Eddie Howe's go-to option on the left of the back four.
Robinson has 12 months to run on his Fulham deal and is attracting interest as the Cottagers try to tie him down to a new contract. Chronicle Live understands the USA international could be available for less than £30m if he decides not to extend his stay in west London.
Newcastle first registered an interest in the 25-year-old back in January but will face competition for his signature this summer. Both Milan sides have previously expressed their desire to take Robinson to Italy's top flight, while Manchester City have cast their eye over the player.

Big demands
Newcastle United will not be swayed by any big demands from rival clubs when it comes to summer shopping.
Since the season finished, Chronicle Live understands that Newcastle have been quoted at the higher end of the market on several targets including James Maddison and Dominik Szoboszlai. The Foxes are sticking to their guns on an asking price of more than £60million on Maddison despite his contract running down.
RB Leipzig star Szoboszlai has a release clause of £60million too but none of the interested parties in the Hungary captain have activated it so far this summer. United's valuation of the Hungarian star is a little less than the asking price.

Szoboszlai fine
Newcastle United transfer target Dominik Szoboszlai has been hit with a hefty €30,000 (£25,700) fine after posing with a flare to celebrate winning the German Cup, the German soccer federation has announced.
The RB Leipzig man has been stung with the penalty due to post-match celebrations following the 2-0 triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this month. Szoboszlai netted in the final before viral social media footage saw him taunting Frankfurt fans - who were hurling abuse his way from the stands - by kissing his medal during the post-match lap of honour.
Szoboszlai later held a flare aloft in front of the Leipzig section of the stadium, with the German federation ruling that the incident amounted to “unsporting behavior.” Speculation persists over Newcastle's interest in the highly-rated midfielder as the Magpies seek to add 'elite' players to their ranks.

Capper's appointment
Newcastle United's future chief financial officer was driving back down the A1. Simon Capper had just watched title-chasing Leicester City comfortably swat aside the Magpies alongside fellow Foxes director Ian Flanagan. The clubs were moving in very different directions at the time, but that trip to St James' Park in 2015 stuck with the pair - and not just because Jamie Vardy had equalled the Premier League record for consecutive goals at St James' Park.
"I remember coming back from that 3-0 game with Simon," Flanagan recalled to ChronicleLive. "We were saying, 'Newcastle have so many of the fundamentals, so many of the ingredients in place, to be a huge success. If they could only get it right.' It was the classic sleeping giant of a club. If it had the right backing and things started going right on the pitch, the sky was the limit."
The last 18 months have proved that, all right, taking Flanagan right back to his days at CSS Stellar Sports, when he looked after Sir Bobby Robson, who was 'phenomenal when he got going on Newcastle'. For the first time since Sir Bobby was in the dugout, Newcastle have finished in the top four and Capper will have a seat in the directors' box for those Champions League nights.

Gallagher addresses future
Newcastle United transfer target Conor Gallagher has addressed talk on his future ahead of what is certain to be a busy summer at Chelsea.
The England international came on as substitute during the 7-0 rout of North Macedonia at Old Trafford last night. But was quizzed about his next move with Newcastle keen on a loan for Chelsea star Gallagher last season and West Ham already linked with a move so far in this window.
Speaking last night, Gallagher said: "It's been a really tough season for me and the whole team, whole club at Chelsea. So I think we will just be working as hard as we can to get Chelsea back to what it was. It's nice to finally get to enjoy the summer."
On his own future, Gallagher said: "I will just relax and get ready for pre-season. Mauricio Pochettino is a top manager and I am looking forward to working with him."

Tindall's backing
Newcastle United coach Jason Tindall says that Eddie Howe will not be carried away by the Magpies' rise up to the Champions League.
United have gone from relegation battlers to playing at Europe's top table next season in the space of a season. But Tindall, his trusted lieutenant, believes Howe's calm outlook has never changed since the days they battled against relegation in League Two with AFC Bournemouth.
Tindall said: "Ed is the same, he's the same as what he's been like from the beginning. "When you think about it you grow and you get better and learn from experiences you have over the course of a managerial career.
"He works extremely hard and his attention to detail is fantastic. He is a great leader, not just of the team, of the football club.
"It (Champions League) is certainly no more than he deserves. The journey we've had has been incredible from where we started to where we are now. He's still the same person though."
