Newborn baby found in wheelie bin with cut grass and umbilical cord attached

A newborn baby boy was discovered in a wheelie bin with his umbilical cord still attached to his tiny body.

The child was found in a brown garden waste bin in a housing estate at about 5pm on Sunday, June 19.

Reports suggest a concerned resident could hear the baby crying from the wheelie bin and after opening the lid was horrified to find the baby among grass cuttings.
