New Zealand has rolled out a lifetime ban on young people buying cigarettes as part of a plan to phase out smoking completely.
The new law announced today by Wellington's Ministry of Health says tobacco cannot ever be sold to anybody born on or after January 1, 2009.
It means the minimum age for buying cigarettes will keep going up and up.
