Florida's state pension fund has taken The New York Times Company to court, accusing its board of failing to oversee editorial standards amid allegations of bias in its coverage of Israel and demanding access to internal records.
The petition, filed on Wednesday in a New York state court in Manhattan, was brought by Florida's State Board of Administration and the National Center for Public Policy Research, both shareholders in the company. It follows a demand letter sent on 10 August by Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier.
