NEW YORK CITY - The New York Liberty turned Barclays Center into a celebration of Latino New York this week, bringing together Broadway, Brooklyn art, salsa, dembow, and community organizations for the team's annual Noche Latina.
Held during the Liberty's Sept. 21 game against the Atlanta Dream, the celebration stretched well beyond basketball, with programming designed to reflect the different cultures and generations that make up New York's Latino community. The game took place as Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations were unfolding across the city.
