New video shows Jorge Masvidal arrest proceedings in March after alleged assault of Colby Covington

New video shows UFC star Jorge Masvidal acting calm, cool and collected on the night of his arrest.

Masvidal was detained and arrested by Miami Beach (Fla.) police March 23, less than 48 hours after an incident in which he allegedly attacked rival Colby Covington outside of a restaurant.

On Thursday, YouTube channel Real World Police released more than 9 minutes of law enforcement footage from the night of Masvidal’s arrest. Video from inside an interrogation room shows Masvidal speaking with two officers as they obtain basic information from him; no questions about the incident are asked. Once finished, the video switches to body cam footage as Masvidal is transported to another location.

Masvidal is cordial and cooperative with officers throughout the proceedings. He posted bond of $5,000 and was released.

Masvidal, 38, entered written not guilty pleas to single counts of aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm and criminal mischief. Masvidal has a pre-trial hearing set for Feb. 15, with an anticipated trial date of Feb. 27.

If found guilty, Masvidal could face up to 15 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine for second-degree felony aggravated battery with additional penalties possible for the criminal mischief charge.

The alleged incident took place roughly two weeks after Covington defeated Masvidal by unanimous decision in the UFC 272 headliner.

You can watch the footage from the night of his arrest in the video above.
