New vegan festival set for Nottingham with over 70 stalls to try

A major vegan festival is set to take place in Nottingham showcasing the very best in food, fashion and pet products. The Nottingham Vegan Festival takes place at Mellish Sports Centre, Kemmel Road, Bulwell on Saturday, August 6th from 10:30 to 4:30 pm.

The festival will showcase over 70 different stalls dedicated to the vegan and vegetarian lifestyle including food, make-up, toiletries, fashion even jewellery. The clothing company, Vegan Slogans will be selling a range of vegan fashion on the day at their stall.

Vegan favourites, VDogs will be at the festival with their range of tasty hotdogs and there will also be some food samples to try. For those thinking of trying the vegan lifestyle, there will also be stalls with cookbooks such as Bo's Book with helpful suggestions and recipes for visitors to follow. All of the profits from the book go to helping dogs at the animal welfare and education charity, Miracle's Mission.

Miracles Mission will also be in attendance on the day to provide education and information about their work. The charity work with sick, injured and disabled animals worldwide to provide a place of safety, education on the importance of neutering and also rehabilitate dogs with disabilities.

The event has been designed to help raise funds for the charity as 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to animal welfare charities. The festival is completely volunteer-run.

Vegan camping experience VFest UK will also be exhibiting ahead of the return of the two-day event taking place in 2023. It's the ultimate vegan food and camping experience which offers family entertainment, shows, international speakers, stalls, global food caterers and yoga.

Festival organiser, Victoria Bryceson said: “I’m really looking forward to the Nottingham Vegan Festival. The wonderful thing about the event is that it’s for everyone whatever your lifestyle. Just come along and bring your friends for a great, fun day out. You’ll have everything you need there, whether you’re looking for some retail therapy, some ‘me’ time, precious family time or just a lovely meal out with some friends."

Admission to the festival is £4 with under 16's admitted for free. There are also VIP tickets which include fast track entry and a good bag of vegan products, samples, discounts and offers.
