One of the big additions on defense this off-season for the Pittsburgh Steelers was inside linebacker Elandon Roberts. Pittsburgh is hoping Roberts can come in and play a major role as the team completely rebuilds the inside linebacker depth chart.
After practice on Friday, Roberts talked about learning the Steelers defense and how easy it is to ask his teammates for help.
“The good thing about here is nobody is afraid to ask anyone for help,” Roberts said. “So, you know if you need help, man I don’t care if I’m looking at something at it’s Cover 2, and I’m kinda weird about it, Pat P right there, I’m gonna ask Pat P.” Roberts said he wouldn’t even hesitate to ask a rookie if they are seeing the same thing he is seeing.
Roberts joins Cole Holcomb as the new starting inside linebacker tandem replacing the trio of Myles Jack, Devin Bush and Robert Spillane.
