A new Starbucks coffee shop could be coming to Cardiff's Albany Road. An application for new signage at 91 Albany Road has been submitted on behalf of the Magic Bean Corporation, based in Swansea, to Cardiff Council.
The Albany Road site is currently vacant, but the application states that planning permission was given in December 2021 for the change of use of the unit to enable occupation by Starbucks. Now, the Magic Bean Company has applied for new Starbucks branded signage for the site. You can read more about the independent alternatives to Starbucks in Cardiff here. The approved plan for the new Albany Road site includes room for indoor seating on the ground floor of the shop, which has residential uses above. The shop would be open between 7am and 8pm.
The chain coffee shop currently has a number of sites across Cardiff, including The Hayes, St David's Shopping Centre and Queen Street.
