- New footage from the upcoming Tom Holland Spider-Man film was unveiled at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, described by the actor as “the most emotional” and “most grown-up” instalment yet.
- The film, set five years after No Way Home, depicts Peter Parker's friends, including MJ and Ned, having moved on, with MJ seemingly in a new relationship.
- Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Marvel's Shang-Chi, the fourth standalone Spider-Man adventure is scheduled to open in cinemas on 31 July.
- Sony Pictures Chairman and CEO Tom Rothman addressed CinemaCon, predicting an “Olympic level movie year” despite acknowledging “serious challenges” in cinema admissions, and urged cinemas to enforce longer theatrical windows, reduce advertising, and make tickets more affordable.
- Other announcements from Sony included an R-rated adaptation of the video game Bloodborne and the confirmation of Grand Gear's release date for 18 February 2028.
