Eight new speed cameras are to be installed around Scotland, with four of them in Glasgow.
Transport Scotland confirmed the cameras would be issued at known accident hotspots following a review involving three regional safety camera units, all thirty-three road authorities and Police Scotland.
The annual assessment process identifies safety issues on Scottish roads associated with collisions and speeding, informing whether any potential new camera sites are required. Cameras are then installed primarily where they have the greatest potential to reduce injury collisions and where there is evidence of both collisions and speeding.
