Match of the Day is set to look extremely different on Saturday night after a mass BBC boycott left the company without a presenter, pundits or commentators to cover the day's football action. It comes after Gary Lineker took a step back from the show following his row over social media use.
The former Leicester player posted online last week comparing the government's asylum policy language to that over 1930s Nazi Germany but the anger at treatment towards Lineker has but BBC in a bad position with the presenter's colleagues supporting him.
Now, after a majorly reduced sporting timetable - with Final Score, Football Focus and 5 Live Sport all cancelled - Match of the Day is going to be unlike ever before too.

Without Ian Wright, Alex Scott, Jermaine Jenas or Alan Shearer, the company apologised for the stripped-down coverage and has also come into an issue with sourcing commentary to accompany the footage. Now, the BBC have confirmed that the show is set to go ahead but with a new look and be limited to just 20 minutes, rather than the usual 90-minute run time.
A post from the broadcaster on social media confirmed the change in timing to the programme, with the decision also meaning that Match of the Day will now start at 10:20PM GMT. It remains to be seen how the issue concerning the lack of commentators will be dealt with, though the absence of pundits has been confirmed already.
