New £30m solar and clean energy fund opens – but can homeowners apply?

Communities across the UK are being offered a share of £30m in new government funding to build their own solar panels and other clean energy projects.

Great British Energy launched the funding on Thursday 17 September as the first wave of the government’s Local Power Plan, which has up to £1bn earmarked for locally owned renewable energy projects.
