New Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Update Offers New Ways to Fight Bosses

Choose from two modes. (Credit: Ubisoft)

A new update is now live in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown which is sure to change how players do boss fights. You see in the game, the boss fights are big, elaborate, and of course, memorable. The problem is that once the bosses are defeated, it's done. This new update called "Boss Attack" introduces new challenges that players are sure to love.

There are actually two new challenges added and the first one is called Boss Revenge. In this one, players get to challenge any of the bosses they've previously beaten. They can do so on any difficulty level. It even comes complete with statistic boards to allow them to track their attempts. During these fights, players enter it with pre-set health along with weapon upgrades and even abilities. They can use their current amulets and Athra Surges. For those who feel confident about their skills, they can try the No Hit difficulty. It's similar to Warrior difficulty but counts as one hit rather than an instant loss.

A Bigger Challenge

Those looking for a bigger challenge change can take on Boss Rush. This one has players go through all the eight bosses in a row once they finish the main story. Now their are breaks in between the fights to allow players to change their equipped amulets and Athra surges. However, they won't be able to replenish their potions, arrows, Athra gauge, or even health.

Those who complete Boss Rush get to obtain two new outfits for Sargon. The first is based on the look of the Prince from the 2008 Prince of Persia game. To get this, players need to finish Boss Rush on any difficulty. The second outfit can be obtained by completing Boss Rush on No Hit Difficulty.

The new update also introduces a new way for players to fast-travel across Mount Qaf through the use of Wak-wak trees. There are also the improvements in the readability of yellow and red attacks in high-contrast mode.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was released back in January and released for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna. The game features a fast-paced action-adventure where the skill of players is tested with a wide range of lethal monsters and even traps.
