The streets of Glasgow's city centre are being prepared for the shooting of Matt Reeves' The Batman Part 2.
The first film was partly shot in the city's necropolis and its sequel has doubled down, having already begun prepping an area under the Kingston Bridge.
Now crews have been spotted on Bothwell Street, carrying props including a Christmas tree, and putting up set dressing.
Canopies being installed show logos for 'Lacy's', a location with little reference in Batman's extensive back catalogue, however, given the Christmas décor spotted elsewhere, one flimsy connection does crop up.
Warner Brothers Montreal's video game Batman: Arkham Origins is set on Christmas Eve and features a section set in 'Lacey' Towers, prompting speculation that the two may be linked.
Elsewhere, in a car park on Balaclava Street, prop vehicles can be spotted, adorned with liveries befitting the fictional setting.
After Spider-Man: No Way Home featured an extensive action set piece shot in the city, hopes are high that the dear green place will be just as exhilarating this time around.
The cars see certainly suggest it will, with props ranging from bin lorries to swat vans and a good old GCPD cruiser to fill the gap.
There's a long way to go before Glaswegians see how the city is used on screen, as the film is slated for release on February 18, 2028.
Until then, eagle eyed fans will have to keep on high alert if they hope to catch a glimpse of the caped crusader.
