This list of everything streaming on Netflix in April 2026 will help you keep track of all the new shows and movies that are coming to the streamer in the next few weeks.

Even after all these years, Netflix is one of the best streaming services, with a huge range of shows, movies, documentaries, comedy specials, and sports events landing on the service every month. There's a couple of really choice picks this month, with the Stranger Things universe expanding into animation and Man on Fire adapting a classic thriller into a classy and exciting series starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. As the schedule is still being finalized, this isn't quite everything that will be on the service this month and we'll update this page as more release dates come in.

Pick of the month for April 2026

Stranger Things: Tales from '85

OK, so Conformity Gate may not have turned out not to be a thing, but the Stranger Things story isn't quite over yet. This brand new animated series is set between season 3 and 4, in the winter of 1985 and sees the gang face a new threat that is stirring beneath the snowy streets of Hawkins.

The core Stranger Things characters are all back (albeit voiced by different actors to the live action show) in a show that looks like it offers new monsters, familiar locations, and a slightly lighter tone that those last couple of seasons. If you're missing the show then this could be the comfort food you're looking for.

Man on Fire season 1

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Special Forces mercenary John Creasy in this seven-episode adaptation of A. J. Quinnell's novel, which was previously made into a film starring Denzel Washington in 2004. Creasy has tried to leave his old life behind, but is struggling from PTSD. Just as it looks like he might be able to make a fresh start, something pulls him back into the fray.

The show adapts the first novel as well as its sequel The Perfect Kill and has a terrific, compelling lead in Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The series lands on Netflix at the very end of the month, but looks like it will be worth waiting for.

The Bad Guys: The Series season 2

Expect more comic animal adventures in the second season of this enjoyable movie spin-off. According to Netflix's synopsis, the Bad Guys (Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark, Mr. Piranha, and Ms. Tarantula) are on "a heisting hot streak" and have moved into a new lair. While they build their reputation, "the crew must confront old enemies, stop a wedding, and face the emergence of Wolf's former mentor." They will also have to deal with a vigilante crime fighter who is causing all manner of trouble.

DreamWorks's franchise is inspired by the graphic novels by Aaron Blabey. The characters may be bad guys, but this is good, family fun.
