The Adidas Arena is the only venue inside Paris that has been built specifically for the Paris 2024 Games. Inaugurated recently, the stadium is already operational and is currently hosting the French Open badminton tournament.
According to Louis Knusmann, who is the sports event manager at Paris 2024, this venue will host badminton and rhythmic gymnastics competitions during the Olympics. For paralympics, para badminton and para powerlifting will be held here.
Speaking about the salient features of the venue, Knusmann said sustainability is one of its key aspects.
"For example, all the 8000 seats inside the venue have been made from recycled plastic bottle caps. The building has solar panels that provide electricity. There is also a garden on the venue's rooftop," he said.
