New Nottingham shop opens its doors selling jewellery you 'can't get anywhere else'

A well-established Nottingham jewellery business has now opened the doors to their new shop in Netherfield. Triant is now on 8 Meadow Road after being available online for customers for the past 5 years.

With pieces of jewellery from Indonesia, Ukraine and other countries in the world, Triant’s designer, Will Cartwright, is in the top 7% of top Etsy sellers worldwide. Will and business partner Joanne Thompson-Clarke create jewellery that can’t be found anywhere else with unique designs that have gone down a treat with their loyal clients.

In the new shop, on one side, you will find bright, vibrant pieces of jewellery perfect for children, a contrast to the other side of the room where you’ll find more gothic pieces of jewellery including skulls. Joanne said: “We've been going for nearly five years, Will’s really good at what he does and selling on Etsy so over the past few years, we have been progressing.

“We’ve done Christmas markets, summer fairs - things like that, it’s massively expanded. Our suppliers work around the world.”

Joanne continued: “For two years, we were in an office space in Colwick because the business was taking over my house and we’ve done things backwards really, now places move online because there’s more profit.”

Whether you want a personalised design for £10 or £50, what Triant sells has been described as ‘unique’ and ‘personalised.’ Based on what customers personally prefer or are looking for specifically, Joanne and Will can come up with designs that best suit them.

Supporting other locals in the area too, Joanne and Will are stocking bath bombs made by a 16-year-old who lives nearby too.

Joanne continued: “Axes are popular and so are phone charms at the moment too, I think they got popular from TikTok. We live in Netherfield and it’s a really lovely community here so it was a no-brainer getting a shop here, I’m not an office person.

“We really want people to know we will attempt to do anything, tailor it, make it, I think our USP is personalisation, we have items that you can’t find anywhere else that are tailored to different styles and tastes.”

Will added: “I finally like being able to showcase what I’ve done for so long, we’ve had some interesting customers so far and I look forward to meeting more people."
