A new bar is set to open on Broad Street offering light bites and a fully stocked bar. The Goat bar, short for the greatest of all time, will be taking over part of the venue formerly known as Botti De Mamma and is set to open on July 9.
The bar will take over half of the building and work is underway to change the dark green to a bright pink colour ahead of the launch. Owners are aiming to make it a relaxed and inclusive vibe in keeping with the atmosphere of the creative quarter in Hockley.
The Goat will also offer light food such as tapas but will also be keeping the traditional wood-fired pizza oven that is already installed in the building. It will also have a fully stocked bar including a selection of craft ales, ciders and lagers on offer.
Owner Ronnie Guest has extensive experience in the hospitality sector. He is hoping to make the bar a destination for people to unwind. The bar will also have a late license so it won't be closing early in the evenings.
"We want it to be a balance between drinking and food but not a restaurant. Somewhere where people can relax and watch the world go past the window. It's going to be a bit of a relaxed atmosphere."
Botti de Mamma was placed on the market earlier this year.
