New Nicola Bulley key witness as police urge woman with pram to come forward

Police investigating the disappearance of mum Nicola Bulley have made an appeal for a new potential witness in their ongoing search for the 45-year-old. A woman pushing a pram has now been identified as being in the River Wyre area and has been urged to get in touch with cops.

The Mirror reports that the witness is the third specific person Lancashire Police have sought to identify in their efforts to locate Nicola, who disappeared on Friday, January 27, as she was walking her dog.

She disappeared on the banks of the River Wyre as she walked family spaniel Willow, shortly after dropping her daughters off at school. While on a work call, on which she was on mute, Nicola seemingly disappeared in a ten minute window at around 9.30am. Willow was found off the leash and Nicola's phone was found on a nearby bench.

In the eight days since the mum has not been seen, prompting growing concern from her loved ones and tireless efforts by detectives in trying to track her down. On Saturday, cops released a fresh appeal to identify a woman with a pram who was seen in the area close to where Nicola went missing.

Officers believe the woman may have walked along the same path as Nicola and are keen to speak to her as soon as possible. They have also issued a wider general appeal to pedestrians, cyclists and motorists who may have been using nearby roads in case they happened to see Nicola or anything relevant around the time she vanished.

Lancashire Police said: "It is believed that the female in question may have walked along the river path during these times and so detectives want to speak to her and urge her to get in touch. We are also appealing to anyone who was driving down Blackpool Lane/Garstang Lane on the morning of Friday, January 27, between the times of 9am and 10am who has dash cam footage on their vehicles to make contact.

"Whilst you may not think that you hold any relevant information, it is really important that we gather as much footage as possible from the area that morning so we can review every piece meticulously to establish whether Nicola can be seen. We know from the footage we are currently reviewing, that this is a busy road, particularly at that time in the morning.

"There will be many people who were in that area at the time who may not think they can help, however we would urge you not to make that decision yourself and to come forward so we can have as much material as possible to assist the investigation. If you were in a car or cycling in the area and have footage, please get in contact."

The mortgage advisor, from nearby Inskip, walked along a riverside path shortly before 9am when another dog walker who knew her spotted her. At around 8.53am, she sent an email to her boss before logging onto a 9am work call with her camera off and microphone on mute.

She was then seen by a second witness at around 9.10am - the last time she was seen. Willow and her phone were then discovered at 9.35am.

It is in the brief window between the last known sighting and the work call ending that officers are desperately investigating. Anyone with information or footage is asked to call 101, quoting log 565 of January 30. For immediate sightings, please call 999.
