New mum couldn't sit down or dance at her wedding - but says she has no regrets

A mum who struggled to sit down or dance on her wedding day just 10 days after giving birth says she has no regrets - and her newborn was the best gift. Allie Svarc, 29, struggled for three years to conceive and went through four rounds of fertility treatment - three of IUI and one of IVF - before falling pregnant.

At the same time, Allie and her husband, 32, had to replan their wedding after their initial date was cancelled due to the pandemic. They set a date two years in advance, but with just nine months to go, Allie was delighted to fall pregnant - with a due date just three weeks before the big day.

Just 10 days before their big day, Allie went into labour and gave birth to a 9lbs boy, now aged 15 weeks, at the end of October 2022. Her "traumatic" birth meant she couldn't sit down during her big day on November 5 and the exhausted new parents were both in bed at 10.30pm. But Allie says her new addition was the "cutest addition to their guest list".
