A new luxury hotel group has announced that they will be opening a boutique venue in the West End of the capital.
Roseate Hotels & Resorts, who are well known for their luxurious hotels across the UK and further afield in India, announced the opening of The Roseate Edinburgh as “an iconic hideaway in the heart of the Scottish capital” on Wednesday February 8.
The site of the new hotel is spread across two historic Victorian townhouses - formerly the Dunstane Houses - which have been refurbished. There will be 35 rooms and suites that have been uniquely designed for guests to stay in.

Located just five minutes walk from Haymarket railway station and a 20-minute drive from Edinburgh airport - the hotel is ideally located for anyone looking to experience a weekend break in Auld Reekie. The quirky design of the rooms and suites mean that handcrafted and four-poster beds are available to guests along with freestanding copper roll-top baths.
Many of the rooms look over the stunning Edinburgh landscape with views of the Pentland hills in the distance. The dining experience offers an ‘eclectic menu’ created from local and seasonal Scottish produce for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It is understood that the Dunstane Restaurant and Bar will stalk spirits including vintage whiskies from distilleries and breweries from across Edinburgh, the Highlands and elsewhere in Scotland. There will also be a fine selection of wines and gins on hand for anyone looking for a nightcap after exploring the city.
A traditional afternoon tea experience will also be in place where guests can devour dainty sandwiches as well as home-baked cakes and fluffy scones. There will also be a meeting room on site - Club Prive - which can host up to 36 people sitting and 50 standing.
Mrs Radha Bhatia, chairperson of the Bird Group India said: “The Roseate Edinburgh is a wonderful new gem in our flourishing portfolio of luxury boutique hotels in the United Kingdom.
“We are excited to bring the magic of Scotland, the land of moors, hills and highlands, its amazing hospitality, exemplary cuisine and a very bespoke experience to our guests.”
