New Italian ice cream shop and café to open in Bristol

A new Italian-style ice cream shop is opening on Cotham Hill. Panunzio’s will serve authentic gelato and its owner says it will also sell specialties not seen in Bristol before.

The shop occupies what was previously the CLIC Sargent charity shop and it’s close to popular restaurants such as Pasta Loco, Rocksalt, Muino and Bravas. Owner Daniele Panunzio says the site’s close proximity to so many successful food businesses was the deciding factor for launching his first Bristol shop on Cotham Hill.

“I think it’s one of the most interesting streets in Bristol and full of restaurants. It also has a good footfall and lots of students - I think it’s the right location for the first Panunzio’s gelato shop.”
