- A new 2,000-mile hiking trail, named the Wolf Trail, has launched in Europe , connecting six countries from Poland 's Baltic coast to Italy 's Adriatic Sea .
- Designed by German outdoor gear company Jack Wolfskin, the trail spans approximately 3,493 kilometres (2,170 miles) across Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Slovenia.
- Hikers on the full route will ascend 78,416 metres (257ft) in elevation, which is comparable to climbing Mount Everest nine times, with the complete journey taking four to six months.
- The Wolf Trail, officially opened to hikers in late 2025, combines existing paths and features seven individual sections for shorter excursions, linking major European trails like the E1, E9, and Via Alpina.
- The route showcases diverse landscapes, including sand dunes in Słowiński National Park, ancient beech forests along the Baltic Sea, and rugged limestone terrain in the Black Forest and Dolomites.
