New footage emerges of Gabriel Magalhaes' row with Jordan Henderson during Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes was seen exchanging words with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson during the 3-2 win at the Emirates Stadium.

The Brazilian was involved in an argument with Henderson after Gabriel Jesus won a crucial penalty which Bukayo Saka converted as the winning goal for the Gunners. Referee Michael Oliver paused proceedings as he ran to the touchline to speak with both Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp.

It's understood to have referred to the argument which erupted in the penalty box as tensions intensified in a dramatic game at the Emirates Stadium. Witnesses claimed that the incident had calmed down by the time both sets of players had reached the tunnel, but new footage has now emerged of the pair continuing to exchange words after the initial incident.

The Football Association (FA) have enlisted the help of expert lip readers to review footage as they continue their investigation into the matter, while players who were nearby during the furious bust-up between both sides may also be asked what they saw and heard, as per The Mirror. In a video posted on the Tasty Football YouTube account on Tuesday, both sets of players embrace shortly after the final whistle, with Henderson initially high-fiving his England colleague Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel engaging in a hug with fellow centre-back Virgil van Dijk.

Both Gabriel and Henderson disappear off camera before returning into shot shortly as the pair shake hands, albeit only being a brief encounter. Following the handshake, the Liverpool captain attempted to get the Brazilian defender's attention, involving Roberto Firmino in the conversation to seemingly encourage Gabriel to talk to him, with Klopp also in the vicinity and talking to Gabriel.

The outcome of the FA's investigation is still yet to be concluded, but both clubs have vowed to follow the FA's disciplinary procedures on the matter. The FA released a brief statement after the match, which read: "We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal and Liverpool. We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident."
