Top Edinburgh chef Stuart Ralston has announced the opening date for his latest venture on Hanover Street.
The celebrated chef, who is behind the Top 100 National Restaurant Aizle and Michelin Bib-awarded Noto, has confirmed that he and business partner Jade Johnston have now opened bookings for brand new restaurant tipo, with dates set to begin from Friday, March 31.
Tipo will feature a menu focussing on a modern take on European cuisine, with in-house prepared ingredients such as fresh pasta and cured and aged-charcuterie and cheeses.

They will also celebrate small artisanal family-owned wineries as well as offering a range of classic cocktails.
The restaurant will be open lunch and dinner five days a week initially (Wednesday to Sunday) and extended to seven days once the team have settled.
The menu will feature highlights such as snacks of lamb fritte with anchovy and house-made salumi alongside pasta dishes bucatini cacio pepe and rigatoni with vodka sauce.
There will also be small plates such as octopus carpaccio and sea bass crudo with orange alongside large plates of tweed valley ribeye, Iberico pork chop and whole fried bream.
Desserts will include a zesty lemon tart with pistachio, warm chocolate cake with sabayon and a seasonally changing soft serve tipo signature.
Speaking about the exciting new opening, Stuart said: "we’re in the final stages now and are excited by how the restaurant is taking shape. We’ve designed the menu around speciality ingredients, which are prepared in-house to create simply delicious dishes to be shared amongst groups of friends and family."
Having opened Aizle in 2014, a restaurant where guests enjoy a six-course tasting menu when dining and that is dictated solely by the availability of the seasons, Stuart then opened Noto, an all-day dining casual restaurant whose menu has an international repertoire with a strong Asian influence, in 2019. Tipo will be his third restaurant in the capital.
