An Edinburgh bistro that recently announced its shock closure is set to be replaced by a bookshop café.
Puddings and Stories will open on Comiston Road, Morningside, in the coming weeks, replacing the former Pie Not? bistro that closed due to struggles caused by the pandemic.
On November 9, a short statement from the owners of the popular bistro read: "Well after ten long years and about 100,000 pies, we have decided to make the last pie. To all the friends, family and pie lovers that have supported us over the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart."

The announcement was followed by dozens of messages from customers who became familiar with the eatery. Within days of the official announcement, a new sign has been spotted on the exterior of the building.
Puddings and Stories looks set to be the new proprietors, welcoming book worms into a cosy environment to unwind while enjoying a bite to eat or a hit drink.
Owner is the business, Cigdem Kaplangi has set up an Instagram account for Puddings and Stories and has already teased what is to come for the store, posting a picture of homemade scones and the discreet, yet effective décor of the building.
Although no accurate timescale has been given for the official opening, Cigdem said she is working hard to welcome customers by the start of December.
