A new public eCargo bike service has been launched at Mountview Community Centre.
The eCargo bike purchased by Fingal County Council is a battery power assisted pedal bike with a large lidded box with carrying capacity of 350 litres. It is suitable for moving items such as sports training gear, small items of furniture or simply a large load of grocery shopping.
The service provider Bleeper handles maintenance and booking. The company chief Hugh Cooney said cargo bikes can offer a convenient and affordable alternative to car use for many.
