The Miami Dolphins made one of their biggest splashes of the offseason early in free agency, as they signed former Tennessee Titans linebacker David Long to a two-year deal.
Long joined a position group that includes Jerome Baker, Duke Riley, Andrew Van Ginkel and Channing Tindall with Elandon Roberts leaving for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Sam Eguavoen still on the market.
The Dolphins kicked off the first day of their offseason program on Monday, as players returned to the facility.
Long was among the players who posted a picture of his locker which included his jersey number – No. 51. He wore the same number during his first four seasons in the NFL.
No one wore No. 51 for Miami last season. Tindall had actually been given it for the preseason, but he switched to his collegiate number (No. 41) when the regular season began.
