New documentary goes behind the scenes with basketball legend

New documentary, Life & Basketball: The Rise of Lethal Shooter, goes behind the scenes looking at the life and work of Chris ‘Lethal Shooter’ Matthews. Matthews, 37, transitioned from a career as a player to basketball’s most sought-after shooting coach.

A year ago, Matthews was in the news when he broke two records that had stood for more than 30 years, including 20 consecutive baskets among them. He’s training hard with the goal of smashing those records again.

He’s also the mastermind behind the Red Bull Run the Racks competition, which challenges the best shooters in the USA to boost their performance by running the racks themselves.

A Red Bull Media House production in association with Religion of Sports, “Life & Basketball: The Rise of Lethal Shooter” was directed by Mandon Lovett and is available to watch on Red Bull TV.

The documentary looks in on gym coaching with professional players Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Te’a Cooper, as well as phone sessions with pros Grant Williams and Bobby Portis.

Also featured are musicians and artists who have developed the art of shooting thanks to Matthews’ guidance, including Machine Gun Kelly, Flea, 2 Chainz and Jason Derulo.

“Life & Basketball: The Rise of Lethal Shooter” is available to watch now on Red Bull TV worldwide.
