Plans for Caerphilly's "container-style" market have been approved and it is set to open in September. With a similar set-up to Goodsheds in Barry, the market in Park Lane will include 28 new small-scale commercial units, seven new bars and restaurants, 15 pop-up market stalls for monthly markets or local festivals and space for outdoor music concerts and events.
Council leader Sean Morgan said: "Caerphilly has often been seen as a town of two halves, the market is in the perfect position to join the two sides of the town together, and it will have great views overlooking the castle."
