New Celtic hero on relegated Premier League side's 'radar', ahead of busy summer

Celtic youngster Callum Osmand is on West Ham United's "radar" ahead of the summer window, according to a report.

The 20-year-old endured a mixed debut season in Glasgow but showed flashes of real quality when given the chance.

According to ExWHUEmployee on his Patreon, West Ham are monitoring the forward after previously tracking him during his time at Fulham.

After initially being overlooked by Brendan Rodgers, Osmand broke through under Martin O’Neill and made an immediate impact, scoring his first senior goal against Rangers at Hampden.

A serious hamstring injury soon stalled his progress, but he returned in time to make a decisive contribution, netting the goal that secured the league title on the final day.

Celtic must now decide whether to keep hold of a promising talent or risk losing him just as he begins to emerge.

Asked about the Champions League next season last month, Osmand said: “That [qualifying] would be unbelievable.

“I was on the bench for the two games at the start of this season, and it was tough watching, because I wanted to give something and I thought I could have helped the team.

“Hopefully we get it over the line this time and have Champions League football.”
