The long-awaited Starbucks at Willow Brook shopping centre in Bradley Stoke will open tomorrow (December 14), four months after its planned launch.
Plans for the drive-through were originally rejected by South Gloucestershire Council in March 2019 on the grounds that it would cause increased noise, congestion and litter problems. But they were eventually granted planning permission on appeal after an inspector found there was no good reason to refuse the application.
And to celebrate its official launch, the branch's licensee Cobra Coffee is offering 50 lucky customers complimentary reusable cups every day for the first week. Visitors are invited to enjoy its holiday menu, featuring the new praline cookie hot chocolate or try Starbucks' new food items, including the pigs under blanket roll and toffee nut muffin.
The launch will create 17 new jobs. Store manager Simone Guerreiro said: "We are excited to open our new store in Bradley Stoke and look forward to welcoming the local community.”
Willow Brook Centre manager Andy Wynn said: “There have been a lot of people looking forward to the opening of this new Starbucks store, which will bring a new flavour to shopping at Willow Brook. The regional licensee operating this branch has a great team of people who have worked incredibly hard to get to this point and I'm looking forward to trying the festive range of food and drink.”
The new store, located next to the new McDonald’s in Bradley Stoke, will be open from 6.30am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm Saturdays, and 8am to 6pm Sundays. It will also offer a 25p discount to all customers who bring a reusable cup when purchasing a drink.
