Kobie Turner has quickly become a cornerstone defender for the Los Angeles Rams, particularly now that Aaron Donald is retired. He had a strong case to win Defensive Rookie of the Year last season and even tied Donald’s record for the most sacks by a rookie defensive tackle in NFL history by taking down the quarterback nine times.
Beyond being an outstanding defender, Turner has some serious musical talents. He sang in the choir at Richmond and can also play guitar, using music as an outlet to express himself outside of football. Since coming into the NFL, he even sang the national anthem at Kings and Lakers games, crushing both performances in front of LA crowds.
In the latest episode of “Behind The Grind”, fans get a behind-the-scenes look at Turner’s musical abilities. The Rams shared a video of Turner signing at the Lakers game with Puka Nacua in attendance, and gave some background into how Turner gained so much interest in music when he was younger.
The episode also highlights Cooper Kupp and RBs coach Ron Gould, but getting to know Turner off the field is particularly interesting. Check it out below.
